Soundpillar Academy is a private teaching studio, committed to its students' success in mastering the violin. We are located in central New Jersey, near Rutgers University. (Somerset, NJ)
Integrating various methodologies and concepts across several disciplines, Soundpillar sets itself apart from the usual violin instruction by incorporating the latest research in talent development and motivation, as well as using state-of-the-art technologies in its audio and video recording studio.
Instruction begins with pre-Suzuki, Suzuki, and then diverges away from the rigid confines of Suzuki into a more modern methodology where students will build up their experience in performance and find their own "voice" as music performers.
Violin instruction is taught by Mr. Juno Suk. He has over 10 years teaching experience, and over 30 years performing experience, having performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, and as concertmaster of various orchestras.
Solid grounding in music theory is crucial as well, once the student is old enough (3rd grade and above). Music theory and composition is taught by Mrs. Jean Sze.
If you would like lessons, or are even just considering it tentatively, please try a few lessons, on the house... or studio. Your first 2 lessons are free when you commit to a block of 8.
